Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient evaluations, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and organized
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper care of orthodontic appliances
• Maintain accurate patient records and update Denticon software
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an orthodontic assistant is preferred
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state registration as required
• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental software is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic assisting techniques
• Working knowledge of Denticon practice management software
• Understanding of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Strong patient care and chairside manner skills
• Ability to anticipate dentist's needs and assist with procedures
