MRI Technologist - Radiology
Location: Durango, CO
Start Date: 09-21-2026
End Date: 12-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts (3 per week), plus call 1 night per week and every 3-4 weekends; weekend and holiday rotations
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans of the head, neck, abdomen, and extremities while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Follow established imaging protocols and assist radiologists with image review
- Start IVs and administer contrast as needed for MRI studies
- Operate GE MRI equipment and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Document patient history, imaging details, and scan results accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care
- Participate in call coverage, including one night per week and every 3-4 weekends
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in MR (ARRT MR) is required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- Experience with EPIC charting and GE MRI scanners
- Ability to start IVs and administer contrast safely
- Willingness to take call, work weekends, and adhere to holiday requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI safety protocols
- Proficiency in using GE MRI equipment and EPIC EMR
- Strong IV insertion and vascular access skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment
- Understanding of radiology department workflows and quality assurance
