Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring stable vital signs
• Manage post-operative pain and administer medications as prescribed
• Provide education to patients and families about recovery and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the care team to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols
• Proficiency in patient monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions
