Shift Type: Per diem - flexible shifts, 12.5 hours per shift as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $103 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients recovering from surgery
- Monitor vital signs, airway patency, and consciousness levels during recovery
- Assess and manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms
- Educate and support families as their child wakes up from anesthesia
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the care team to ensure smooth recovery
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Oregon RN license (or compact state license)
- BLS certification required; PALS certification strongly preferred
- Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Compassionate bedside manner with children and families
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of anesthesia recovery phases and complications
- Skilled in pediatric vital sign assessment and monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
