Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from knee and hip replacements and complex spine surgeries
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans that promote healing and comfort
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, mobility, and discharge readiness
- Document patient progress meticulously in Meditech to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Advocate for patient safety and satisfaction in a fast-paced yet compassionate environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact license)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; ortho/spine or med-surg experience is a big plus
- BLS certification required; ACLS a bonus
- A heart full of compassion and a spirit of teamwork
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic unit with 6:1 patient ratios
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of post-operative care for orthopedic and spine patients
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to partner with a dedicated unit staff
- Comfort with using coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
- Flexibility to rotate through floating as needed
