Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from knee and hip replacements and complex spine surgeries
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans that promote healing and comfort
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, mobility, and discharge readiness
• Document patient progress meticulously in Meditech to ensure seamless continuity of care
• Advocate for patient safety and satisfaction in a fast-paced yet compassionate environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact license)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; ortho/spine or med-surg experience is a big plus
• BLS certification required; ACLS a bonus
• A heart full of compassion and a spirit of teamwork
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic unit with 6:1 patient ratios

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of post-operative care for orthopedic and spine patients
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to partner with a dedicated unit staff
• Comfort with using coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
• Flexibility to rotate through floating as needed
