Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to post-operative orthopedic and spine patients
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and manage pain effectively
• Assist patients with mobility using equipment like walkers, CPMs, and SCDs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
• Document patient progress accurately in the Meditech system
• Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN License (compact or Tennessee)
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience
• Strong background in knee and hip replacement post-surgical care
• Experience with multi-level spine surgeries
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Knowledge of orthopedic and spine surgical procedures
• Ability to operate medical equipment such as coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
• Understanding of patient safety and fall prevention protocols
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
