Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, compassionate care to patients recovering from knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
- Assess and monitor patient conditions including vitals, pain management, and surgical site status, adjusting care plans as needed
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and unit navigators to coordinate seamless care from admission to discharge
- Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery, mobility, and home care instructions
- Document accurately in the Meditech system while working alongside skilled PCTs and unit secretaries
- Champion a positive patient experience by fostering a healing and supportive environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state
- At least 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience
- Experience caring for patients after spine surgeries and joint replacements
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation
- A compassionate team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to floating policy and rotating assignments as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of orthopedic and spine nursing best practices
- Skilled in using patient care equipment such as coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond quickly to patient needs
- Excellent patient education and family communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate electronic health records in Meditech
- Team-oriented, empathetic, and dedicated to patient satisfaction
