Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized MedSurg/Tele unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with behavioral health needs
Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner EMR system
Float to support ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors when needed
Ensure patient safety through video monitoring and appropriate interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
MedSurg/Telemetry experience in a 600+ bed facility strongly preferred
Psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Comfort working with patients who have secondary behavioral health diagnoses
Cerner EMR proficiency
Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
