Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients with diverse needs
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient progress thoroughly in electronic health records
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Previous med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of med-surg nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Excellent patient assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients effectively
