Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, patient-centered nursing care for long-term care residents, building meaningful connections and promoting quality of life.
• Manage a 1:5 patient load, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and documenting care accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition, using critical thinking to prevent complications and ensure safety.
• Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and health maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment in compliance with infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado RN license - required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Minimum 4 years of nursing experience, including Long Term Care patient experience
• COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
• Must live at least 65 miles from the facility (traveler requirement)
• Ability to work holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and best practices
• Ability to build rapport with elderly residents and their families
• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
