Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal status, responding quickly to changes
• Float seamlessly between Samaritan Health Services facilities in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure safe, evidence-based care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Adapt to diverse patient needs and unit workflows with a positive, flexible attitude

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience, including labor management, delivery care, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
• Epic proficiency required
• Comfort with floating between facilities and using your personal vehicle for work assignments
• Fetal Monitoring Certification and STABLE preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (CAP requirements)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required due to College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpreting maternal and fetal status
• Knowledgeable in postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments
• Strong communicator who thrives in team-based care
• Proficient with Epic electronic medical records
• Able to travel to multiple care locations with ease
