Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of an RN or LVN
• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care needs, always respecting their dignity
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for facility residents
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and staff
• Support the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care

Qualifications

• Current California CNA certificate required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT certifications are also required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing or similar healthcare setting
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with residents, staff, and the general public
• Basic computer skills required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Resident care and patient care best practices
• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Personal care and comfort techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills for collaborating with residents, families, and staff
• Basic computer skills
