Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess the developmental level, health status, and health history of women and infants to create personalized care plans
• Perform initial assessment and stabilization of neonates with confidence and skill
• Teach patients and families about self-care and newborn care, empowering them for life at home
• Support family bonding and promote healthy relationships through education and collaboration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and support at-risk families, ensuring comprehensive care
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and clinical skills to deliver exceptional care to mothers and babies

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is a must
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program
• Passion for supporting women and families during childbirth

• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork and liaison skills to connect with patients, families, and staff
• Ability to stay calm and professional in stressful situations
• Knowledge of maternal and neonatal nursing best practices
• Patient education and family support expertise
