Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional critical care nursing consistent with AACN standards to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient-centered care
• Perform comprehensive health history and physical assessments for critically ill patients across the pediatric to geriatric continuum
• Prioritize patient needs, develop and update problem lists and implement individualized plans of care
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions
• Manage hemodynamic stability and airway/ventilation support and assist with temporary pacemaker insertion when required
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure safe patient transitions of care
• Participate in mandatory education, annual competency checks, and maintain clinical skills and professional knowledge

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (ability to practice in Pennsylvania)
• Experience in critical care settings (ICU/PCU) with assessment and care planning skills
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac arrhythmia recognition
• Comfort assisting with temporary pacemaker procedures and ambulance transport protocols
• Working knowledge of AACN standards and critical care best practices
• EPIC experience preferred; Meditech experience noted and helpful during transition
• Current competency/verification in emergency life support procedures per facility requirements
