Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour day or night shifts; 72 hours every two weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in a 9-bed ICU, typically with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Continuously monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Care for stable pediatric patients when needed, coordinating timely transfer to a higher level of care for unstable cases.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans, keeping patients and families informed.
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, helping coordinate unit activities and supporting fellow team members.
- Float to other departments as needed to provide additional support without taking on a patient assignment.
Qualifications
- You hold an active RN license in Hawaii (currently active, as required).
- You are certified in PALS and have hands-on pediatric experience.
- Your ACLS and BLS/BCLS credentials are current.
- You bring at least 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills
- Experience caring for stable pediatric patients in an adult ICU setting
- Proficiency with Point Click electronic medical records
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and float between departments to support hospital needs
- Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to handle patient ratio changes and overflow situations
