Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in our 10-bed ICU
• Monitor and assess patient status, including cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and ventilator settings
• Activate and follow STEMI and Stroke protocols to ensure rapid, evidence-based interventions
• Administer conscious sedation, manage chest tubes, and assist with intubations and codes
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Document accurately in Meditech Expanse and maintain a safe, organized environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• 3+ years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous charge experience preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task, think critically, and respond with a sense of urgency

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ICU protocols for STEMI, stroke, and conscious sedation
• Proficiency with cardiac monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, and other critical care equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, flexible, and able to work well under pressure
• Solid critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities
