Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Perform assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
• Document clinical findings, interventions and resident progress in a timely and professional manner
• Educate residents and families about care plans, medications and health maintenance
• Respond to emergencies and changes in condition with calm, evidence-based actions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact multistate RN license if applicable
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar clinical setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work the scheduled weekend day shifts (Sunday, Friday, Saturday)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with long-term care protocols and regulatory compliance
• Skill in electronic health record (EHR) charting and timely documentation
• Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to prioritize care
• Effective communication with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
