Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ clinical status with compassion and precision
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Perform thorough handoffs and maintain clear, timely charting in the EHR
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and well-being
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or eligible for state licensure)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight shift responsibilities
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficient with medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with wound care, IV therapy, and common nursing procedures
• Comfortable using EHR systems and maintaining accurate charts
• Infection prevention practices and resident safety protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
