Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate emergency care across multiple facilities in the Zone 1 float pool
Assess and triage patients with conditions ranging from abdominal pain to stroke and trauma
Administer standard ER medications and perform point-of-care lab testing
Interpret telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless care
Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and other Zone 1 sites as needed

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ER/ED nursing experience preferred
Ability to interpret telemetry independently

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ER assessment and critical-thinking skills
Comfort working with varied patient volumes (40-168 patients per day)
Ability to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt quickly to new units
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
