Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned shift
- Assess patients, implement nursing plans, and document care accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
- Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama (or compact/eligible where applicable)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or available upon hire
- Clinical experience as a bedside RN (previous med-surg or correctional/behavioral experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with medication administration and IV therapy
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to de-escalate situations and maintain patient safety
- Time management and prioritization for multiple patient needs
