Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental health status and identify psychiatric disorders
- Conduct thorough patient histories and observe behavior
- Develop individualized care plans and set measurable goals
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations
- Communicate effectively using therapeutic communication and AIDET
- Monitor vital signs and mental status changes during 12-hour shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to evaluate outcomes
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid Missouri license
- BLS certification required
- CPI certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience
- Strong crisis intervention and therapeutic communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Psychiatric assessment and diagnosis
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Medication management for psychotropic drugs
- Therapeutic communication and active listening
- Use of Meditech documentation system
- Understanding of ICARE values and AIDET principles
