Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients with brain injury or stroke to determine functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
• Provide hands‑on therapeutic interventions including gait training, balance work, and functional exercises
• Document progress notes and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

• Current state Physical Therapist license in Maine
• Completion of an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
• Experience in post‑acute or neurorehabilitation preferred but not required

• Neurorehabilitation techniques
• Functional mobility assessments
• Therapeutic exercise prescription
• Patient education and motivation
• Interdisciplinary teamwork
