Location: Orting, WA

Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Bill Rate: $45-$5040 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders for residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote functional communication and safe swallowing
- Document progress notes, treatment outcomes, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Provide education and training to staff, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and dysphagia management
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Evaluation of speech, language, voice, and swallowing function
- Design of evidence‑based therapy interventions
- Regulatory documentation and compliance for SNF environments
- Patient‑centered communication techniques
- Use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools
