Location: Waimea, Hawaii

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM lunch, plus required Saturdays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and deliver hands-on treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide mobility progression and discharge planning support for acute, ICU, SNF, and observation patients
Manage a full caseload of 5-15 patients daily with 30-45 minute appointments and one-hour new evaluations
Collaborate with the care team in ER, Med/Surg, OB, and the hospital-based outpatient clinic
Deliver thorough, independent care for a wide range of outpatient diagnoses in a rural community

Qualifications

Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (must obtain ASAP)
Current BLS/BCLS certification
Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
Comfortable working independently in rural healthcare settings

Knowledge & Skills

Strong evaluation and treatment planning skills across acute to outpatient diagnoses
Knowledge of discharge planning and mobility progression
Ability to manage varied caseloads efficiently
Flexibility to cover Saturdays and adapt to changing daily schedules
