Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Brewster, Washington

Start Date: 07-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform accurate laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank for high-quality patient care
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring timely and precise results
Analyze and interpret test results with clinical judgment, identifying abnormalities
Collect specimens from patients of all ages, including venipuncture and capillary draws
Monitor quality control procedures and participate in laboratory quality improvement
Provide technical information to physicians and healthcare team members

Qualifications

Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy license required
Certification as MLT or CLS (HEW, ASCP, AMT, or NCA) required
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting
Proficiency in specimen collection, handling, and processing

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank procedures
Skilled in phlebotomy and specimen collection across all age groups
Proficient with laboratory information systems and equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of quality control and laboratory safety standards
