Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-09-2026

End Date: 09-08-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop individualized treatment plans for deconditioned and recovering patients
Document progress and communicate effectively with the rehab services team

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Strong clinical skills in general medical, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient physical therapy interventions
Ability to manage varied diagnoses from TKA/THA to CVA recovery
Comfort working in fast-paced hospital environments
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
