Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-06-2026

End Date: 09-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts; one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document progress and adjust interventions to meet individual goals
Educate patients and families on safe mobility techniques and home exercise programs

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Comfortable working with diverse diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning abilities
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care environment
Team collaboration and time management expertise
