Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, at least every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult behavioral health patients
Monitor and assess patients with diverse psychiatric diagnoses including geri-psych and bipolar disorders
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while following established protocols
Support patients and families through education and emotional guidance
Float to med-surg and OB units as needed, bringing your expertise where it matters most

Qualifications

Active RN license in Utah or compact state
BLS certification required
Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
Willingness to float outside of psych unit highly valued
Strong assessment and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of adult behavioral health conditions and treatment approaches
Ability to work effectively in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio setting
Comfort with seclusion protocols and de-escalation techniques
Flexibility to adapt to different units and patient populations
Solid color scrub compliance and professional presentation
