Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts with variable start times, Monday-Sunday schedule set by manager

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a variety of surgical procedures
Assist surgeons and the OR team during high-volume ortho, general, gyn, peds, and eye cases
Handle and sterilize instruments using autoclave systems like Steris and V-Pro
Collaborate with a supportive Charge Nurse and experienced OR staff
Ensure patient safety by following strict sterile processing protocols

Qualifications

2 years of OR experience required
BLS certification required
IAHCSMM certification for sterile processing duties
Travel experience preferred
Cerner Surginet EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong sterile technique and instrument handling
Comfortable with ortho total joints, general, gyn, peds, and eye procedures
Familiarity with Cerner Surginet documentation
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
Team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced 7-suite OR
