Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support hospital-wide needs
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner
Support patients through BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and caring for CVA/TIA patients
Cerner experience preferred due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement care experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort with set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and house supervisors
Flexibility to float between units as needed
