Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM + Call coverage (one evening per week 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM and two weekends per month 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Circulate across all surgical specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, ortho, and general procedures
Support complex cases such as CABGs, craniotomies, and robotic-assisted surgeries with DaVinci and Mako systems
Collaborate with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
Precept and mentor newer staff members when the unit needs your guidance
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses to support seamless coverage
Respond to on-call needs within a 30-minute window to keep cases moving smoothly

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
Minimum 4-5 years of recent hospital OR experience
Proven ability to circulate CABGs, craniotomies, and robotic cases
Comfortable with call coverage including evenings and weekends
Strong references and a track record of reliability

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise circulating cardiovascular, neuro, ortho, and general surgeries
Hands-on experience with both Mako and DaVinci robotic systems
Ability to handle trauma, total joints, and open-belly cases
Familiarity with eyes, endo, and cysto procedures is a plus
Excellent communication and quick decision-making under pressure
