Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health techs to support patients with secondary mental health needs
Maintain strict sterile technique during Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as census requires
Document thoroughly in Cerner EMR and ensure accurate medication administration
Participate in SIMs Lab skills validation and ongoing education on lifts, restraints, and wound care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry background with the ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Willingness to work with patients who have behavioral health components

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
Comfortable with video monitoring and behavioral safety protocols
Skilled in maintaining sterile field during procedures
Able to manage confused, dementia, or low-cognitive-ability patients with empathy
Team-oriented with excellent communication and de-escalation skills
