Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during CVOR cases including CABG, valve replacements, and lead extractions
Support a wide range of surgeries from total joints and spine to vascular and trauma cases
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgical staff throughout each case

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Proficiency with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to take 1-2 weeknight calls per week and approximately one weekend call per month
Comfortable working in a fast-paced OR environment with diverse case types

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and pacemakers
Solid understanding of ortho, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma cases
Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring
Strong sterile technique and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
