Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-26-2026

End Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for diverse patient populations including post-surgical, neurological, and general medical cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery journeys
Provide compassionate care to patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal procedures, and stroke rehabilitation
Document progress and adjust interventions to help patients regain strength and independence

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience essential
Strong clinical skills across medical-surgical, ICU, and emergency settings
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in treating general medical and deconditioned patients
Proficiency with post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation
Experience with stroke recovery and neurological conditions
Ability to adapt quickly across different hospital units
Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
