Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Provide excellent care and comfort to young patients
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front office duties as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credential preferred
• Valid x-ray certification or the ability to obtain one
• Experience working with children is a big plus
• CPR certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment for kids
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
