Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous one-on-one observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and well-being
• Monitor patient behavior and immediately report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist patients with basic needs such as repositioning, hydration, and mobility while maintaining their dignity
• Keep the patient's environment safe and free of hazards
• Offer compassionate companionship and reassurance to patients and their families

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS certification (CPR) strongly preferred
• Previous experience as a patient sitter, CNA, or in a healthcare setting is a plus
• A caring, attentive, and dependable nature with a commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong observational and monitoring skills
• Ability to stay alert and focused for extended periods
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to remain calm in stressful or emergency situations
