Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments and take dental impressions
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- Must be orthodontic certified
- Current dental assistant certification or ability to obtain
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Skill in taking dental x-rays
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
