Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments and take dental impressions
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified
• Current dental assistant certification or ability to obtain
• Excellent patient communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Skill in taking dental x-rays
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
