Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient exams, procedures, and treatments in a pediatric specialty setting
• Obtain and record vital signs, patient histories, and prepare patients for examinations
• Administer medications, perform point-of-care testing, and collect lab specimens as directed
• Sterilize instruments, room patients, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
• Educate patients and families on care instructions and treatment plans
• Coordinate patient flow and communication between clinical teams to ensure efficient, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtained prior to start
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, but not required
• New graduates of a medical assistant program are encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
