Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily living assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring resident safety at all times
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current and active Connecticut CNA certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Compassionate, reliable, and attentive to resident needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and safety protocols
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility
- Observant and quick to notice changes in resident condition
- Time management skills to handle multiple priorities
