Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations and treatments
- Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and symptoms
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all equipment is sterile and ready
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as administering injections or medications
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient medical records and charts
- Support patient education and provide clear follow-up care instructions
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic lab tests
- Skilled in EHR documentation and patient scheduling
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic clinical setting
- Familiarity with pediatric care is a plus
