Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
• Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and medical information
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure clinical areas are well-stocked and clean
• Assist with specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and medication administration under supervision
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Communicate effectively with the care team to support high-quality outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred
• BLS certification is required (or must obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Skilled in obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for exams
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent bedside manner and dedication to patient comfort
