Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in orthodontics is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
- Understanding of orthodontic procedures and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
