Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for young patients
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Take and develop dental radiographs with care and precision
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and post-visit care
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with appointment scheduling
• Help create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that puts kids at ease

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography (x-ray) certification as required in Wisconsin
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a plus
• Strong communication and patient-focus skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, terminology, and procedures
• Proficiency in sterilization and infection control best practices
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Ability to multitask and maintain a calm, organized environment
• Compassionate approach to patient care
