Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays with care and precision
• Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene and post-visit care
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with chairside documentation
• Support the dental team in delivering a positive, kid-friendly experience

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state licensure as required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but new graduates with a passion for working with kids are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of chairside assisting techniques and dental terminology
• Familiarity with dental software and record keeping
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Skill in taking digital and traditional dental X-rays
• Compassionate and patient with children and anxious patients
