Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety and comfort
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and companionship to promote emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by assisting with housekeeping and linen changes
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident's individualized care plan is followed

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR certification
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical stamina for assistance with lifting and mobility
