Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Document patient information and treatment plans using Denticon software
- Support the team with front-office duties as needed, such as scheduling and patient check-in
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assisting certification or completion of an accredited program
- X-ray certification required
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with orthodontic assisting procedures
- Familiarity with Denticon practice management software
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
- Proficient in dental radiography techniques
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
