Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Document patient information and treatment plans using Denticon software
• Support the team with front-office duties as needed, such as scheduling and patient check-in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dental Assisting certification or completion of an accredited program
• X-ray certification required
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with orthodontic assisting procedures
• Familiarity with Denticon practice management software

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Proficient in dental radiography techniques
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
