Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients emerging from anesthesia
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth recovery and discharge
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care
• Document patient progress accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PACU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of post-anesthesia nursing principles and practices
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
