Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, promoting their comfort and dignity
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
• Monitor and report vital signs and any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff
• Help with positioning, transfers, and fall prevention using proper safety techniques
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members to ensure high-quality care
• Engage residents in positive social interactions and support their emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Must have completed the COVID-19 vaccine or have a documented religious/medical exemption
• Ability to work per diem shifts, including weekends as needed
• Strong communication and people skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or with elderly patients is a plus
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of basic patient care and safety protocols
• Ability to observe, interpret, and report patient needs
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and patience when caring for seniors
• Basic documentation and computer skills
