Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as directed by the orthodontist
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Experience working in a dental office, especially orthodontics, is highly valued
• X-ray certification (RDA or equivalent) is desirable

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems (e.g., Denticon)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
