Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist with examinations, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Take X-rays and dental impressions for accurate patient records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and caring for braces/aligners
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• Support the front desk team with patient flow and documentation

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus, but training is available
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with digital X-rays and intraoral scanners
• Familiarity with dental practice management software like Denticon
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Team player with a positive, helpful attitude
